Abstract
After Amazon launched the Kindle e-reader in 2008, many companies around the world eagerly entered the e-reader market in 2009. At the end of 2009, Barnes & Noble became the first company to roll out a dual-screen product, featuring EPD and TFT-LCD display technologies. With e-reader functions becoming more diverse, e-readers in the future will no longer be solely used for reading. This report analyzes the future development of tablet products following the emergence of e-reader products. The report examines current and future trends in e-readers, tablet PCs, and MIDs, and provides a worldwide e-reader market scale forecast for the period 2010-2012.
